Mobile App Developer - Android: Our Client is one of the largest of its kind in the UK and this is a great opportunity to join a fast growing company, working in the area right at the heart of their future strategy. They currently have a vacancy to work in the mobile team to develop and maintain our mobile apps. Work with the mobile team and wider business to help deliver an industry leading mobile app that provides a best in class experience for customers.

They are looking for the following essential experience/ knowledge:

*3+ years commercial experience
*Proficient with Java
*Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen size
*Experience with OOP concepts and design patterns
*Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
*Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git
*Experience with REST APIs
*Demonstrable apps you have worked on
*Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)

Desirable experience:

*Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban
*Previous experience managing teams
*Degree in Computer science or related discipline

You will work in a development team that always puts the customer and the online experience first, while always remaining focused on the business benefit to any changes. Take ownership of all changes made to the online systems and proactively monitor these to spot any effects that may have been caused by enhancements. Participate in ideas sessions, contributing your own ideas for improving the website that will feed into the teams' workflow.

*Develop new and maintain existing functionality within their apps
*Deliver innovative functionality for their customers
*Generate ideas with solid hypotheses
*Contribute to development discussions and code reviews
