Finance Manager - Projects

Would you like a highly varied role working in a fast paced and complex environment? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager - Projects at our site in Barrow.

As a Finance Manager - Projects, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of the Royal Navy's latest and most capable generation of attack submarines, as well as their intelligent Complex Systems and Support trusted to detect threats in the naval environment.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders and complex programmes

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager - Projects will involve:

Managing of two direct reports

Supporting in the production of Requests for Bid Approval (RBAs) & through remainder of project lifecycle

Providing project input into the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) process

Continuous improvement of financial process/practices & governance

Responsibility for the production of Contract Status Reports and Sales Trading Plans

Providing input into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) process through submission of robust forecasts of financial salient's

Working with MOD and CAAS counterparts to provide information as required and to ensure the effectiveness of the cash claims process

Your skills and qualifications:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or relevant equivalent is essential

Accounting and financial management experience, working in a variety of roles including working within a project finance environment

Thorough knowledge of Financial IT Systems including SAP and MS Excel

Good working knowledge of MOD's policies and procedures

Comprehensive business and financial modelling experience

Experience of influencing across functions and hierarchies

Experience within a similar Defence environment / role would be highly advantageous
