You will lead a growing team responsible for providing risk and compliance support across a broad

range of services, working in a dynamic business with a unique culture, encompassing a wide

range of products and regulatory regimes. This is an opportunity to really make a difference.

This business provides advice using leading edge technology around a number of consumer financial services products including insurance, consumer credit, travel and energy

The role-

  • Provide advice and support to stakeholders and lead a team of Risk & Compliance Partners to ensure that risks and issues across all businesses of the Group
  • This will involve engaging with management across the Group
  • Assisting the Chief Risk Officer in building and maintaining an effective Risk & Compliance framework and culture
  • Leading and motivating a team of Risk & Compliance specialists
  • Engage with stakeholders on BAU and change activities across the Group to ensure risk and compliance matters are appropriately identified and managed
  • Enhance and maintain an effective risk management culture. Lead and oversee delivery of Risk & Compliance training and awareness activities across the group
  • Represent Risk & Compliance at relevant meetings and committees (deputising for the CRO when required) and third party providers and partners as required
  • Retain up to date knowledge of all applicable UK legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and best practice (including but not limited to; FCA, ICO, OFGEM, ASA and CMA)
  • Maintain relevant external relationships to assist in understanding of trends and developments within risk and compliance

Key Requirements-

  • Strong technical background of FCA regulatory requirements across General Insurance, Consumer Credit and Mortgages
  • Strong understanding of a range of risk management frameworks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to form close working relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
