Engineering Manager- Electronics My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Electronics, with a strong focus in leading and managing a multi-sited team of technical staff. Focusing on the development of electronic products or sub-assemblies, you will lead resource management processes for Project Teams in an avionics electronics environment. The Engineering Manager will manage staff development, facilities planning and continuous improvement activities. You will also support the co-ordination of various engineering and non-engineering disciplines, assisting engineers with the operational management systems and processes, and suggest/implement improvements. You will have strong data analysis skills with excellent knowledge of ERP, SharePoint and document management systems, and play an active role in design reviews, suggesting solutions to design issues You'll be joining an established team of engineers, within a dynamic, highly recognised organisation, that is currently going through a period of rapid expansion due to recent contract wins. As the Engineering Manager- Electronics your main responsibilities will include: *Providing day to day management of the discipline. *With the Chief Engineer, you'll be setting the objectives, development plans and implementation activities for the electronics team members *Supporting customer queries on electronics products *Actively adjudicate project plans to assess the resource loading and support the resolution of any conflicts arising. *Reviewing and agreement to relevant project estimates. *Creating and managing the future skills matrix, training plans and recruitment plan for electronics engineering staff, as well as the general management/reviews of staff *Generating future investment cases to support capability growth/sustainment. *Supporting and contributing to process improvement activities. *Contributing information for formulation of KPIs for the electronics discipline *Managing the development lab facilities and coordinating usage and future improvements Successful candidates will have/be: *Degree Qualified in an engineering or science discipline (or equivalent) *Proven experience in leading and managing development staff (in the avionics electronics field is desirable) *Experience working with ERP, formal change processes, engineering documents and data *Familiarity with formal change control and corrective action processes *An understanding of export compliance classification (desirable) *Competent in all areas of MS Office, including report writing Position- Engineering Manager- Electronics (Permanent) Location- Buckinghamshire Salary- Negotiable, DOE + competitive benefits Key Words:Electronics, Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Management, Resource Management, Change Management, Change Process, ERP, Continuous Improvement, Staff Development, Facilities Planning Applicants may be required to meet certain security criteria.
