This is an opportunity to join the deployment phase of Tesco's Finance Transformation - you'll be joining a communications team to lead the delivery of the programme into the UK / ROI and support delivery into Asia (Thailand and Malaysia).

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and own communications plan for all Finance Transformation activities in the UK for all Finance and non-Finance audiences (including vertical processes and enabling horizontal work-streams)​
  • Prepare communication materials for local (awareness through to Go Live) including all proactive and reactive communications about the programme​
  • Work with the Change Impact Lead to ensure that the right level of communications are in place to support the delivery of all change impacts identified for UK / ROI / Asia (out of a global total of 337)​
  • Ensure communications deployment for all training, testing and systems cutover requirements globally (55 global cutovers across the programme to March 2019) including specific communications (both bespoke and standard) for UK, ROI and Asia
  • Work closely with Bangalore comms lead to ensure that deployment communications are both seamless and timely for all aligned systems go-lives on 30 June 2018
  • Manage and deliver all Finance Transformation communications across the programme via local UK & ROI communications channels (as agreed with Group Communications)​
  • Work with the local Asia communications team to ensure all communications requirements into Thailand and Malaysia are also successfully managed and delivered (go-live dates TBC)
  • Be the first point of contact for Group Communications team (Emily Prescott) and work with Emily to ensure pan-Tesco policy and process communications (eg. Expenses) are delivered at the right time to the right audiences​
  • Measure UK / ROI communications activities, feedback to programme Communications Lead and use these insights to continuously improve our activities​

Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role you'll need:

  • A minimum of 10 years internal communications experience
  • Significant change communications experience gained in a global, multi-national business environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent writing and time management capability

In addition, it's desirable that you've:

  • Worked in a retail environment
  • Have previous experience of working in the Finance sector or on a Finance transformation programme
