My client and I are searching for a highly motivated senior account manager to oversee and drive the core values of integrity and hard work in which my clients business adopts. Demonstrating leadership, the ideal candidate will ensure the advance planning of weekly activities and drive the development of monthly status reports in an attempt to ensure all clients, marketing and communication needs are met whilst maximising the profitability of the programmes.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring the team is working consistently and smoothly through the delegation of roles to junior members of the team, providing motivation and support throughout
- Helping junior members to achieve pre-agreed personal goals/targets
- Take collective responsibilities for the team's success and establishing a degree of team spirit
- Taking feedback from clients across all projects and programmes
- Liaising with the account director to discuss team resource issues
- Creating a highly respected relationship with clients and ensuring contact is kept as appropriate
- Managing client meetings
- Handling project implementation to secure deadlines whilst making sure quality standards are met
- Evaluation of processes and programmes with the account director
- Maintaining and establishing a form of momentum across projects and programmes
- Stay aware of potential flaws/issues within the projects/programmes
- Accurately estimate fees and costs
- Accountability and ownership for the financial performance of the project/programme
- Establish financial awareness both as an individual and as part of the team
- Maintaining a balance between service and revenue - exploring any imbalances should they come across them
- Recognising and facilitating innovative ideas from others
- Ensuring the teams drive is aligned with the companies responsibilities

Required

- Able to learn/develop a full technical understanding of all aspects of the programme
- Must have the ability to create a network, developing new contacts and initiating new relationships with clients in a professional manner
- Can review / competently write different styles of materials, including manuscripts, AV presentations and more
- To be able to competently asses and review materials developed by the team and provide clear feedback
- Must have an understanding of professional press within the UK including the normal workings of journalists.
- Must have a clear understanding of the publication planning process, the principles behind the process and the development of primary and secondary manuscripts
- Confidently address and oversee the running of conferences
- Articulate and clear presentational skills
- An understanding of the new media/ IT
- Work under extreme pressure, ensuring the quality of outputs are consistent and accurate
