This school is an 11 - 18 school located in Chester. The school is a large school with over one thousand seven hundred pupils including two hundred in their outstanding sixth form. Pupils come from a range of socio-economic backgrounds from within the Cheshire region. The school has a low number of pupils with special educational needs and entitled to free school meals when compared to the national average. Due to the sickness absence of a member of the Design and Technology department the school are recruiting for a Resistant Materials Technology specialist.
Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching a timetable made up of predominately KS3 Resistant Materials Technology and some KS4 Design and Technology lessons full-time, Monday to Friday. Y our role will include full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking, assessment, attending parents evenings and pastoral responsibilities for a form class.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher and will have previous experience of delivering a Design and Technology curriculum within a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
