The Role

Are you experienced of working in an IT Service desk support environment?

A new & exciting role has opened up in the corporate services team for a first line team leader. reporting to the IT service manager, the first line team leader will oversee a small team tasked with the supply of a range of IT Service Desk services to 1,300+ internal customers across the Midlands, East and South East. The first line team work with the second line team, other IT Support Teams, and 3rd Party support partners to provide efficient, customer-focussed services to the organisation.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and capable team leader with experience of a range of technologies. To be a good fit for this role, you will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and or line manage a small team. You will also be heavily involved in the training and development of first line staff, including apprentices, ensuring that skills, knowledge and processes are documented and disseminated across the team.

Primary functions of the team include:

-Provide a First Line Service Desk function, supporting and mentoring the 1st Line Service Desk Analysts, and liaising with Second and Third Line support teams to ensure an efficient and robust Incident Management process.

-Deliver a range of services to the business, via the IT Service Catalogue and the ITSM tool

-Communicating with customers and teams across the business in relation to service issues, The First Line Team Leader will supervise work in the areas outlined above, working with the IT Service Manager and the Second Line Team Leader to ensure that services are supplied effectively and efficiently, in line with business and departmental requirements.
