My client are a newly formed shared service centre combining two large scale local authority services in Manchester area. They are looking for two HR systems and Data specialists to their newly formed team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support in building a new and upcoming shared service model, which is due to be rolled out across Greater Manchester giving you lots of scope for progression and development.

Main Purpose of the role

• To support the development of a ‘leading edge’ Shared Service Centre for Partnership members, ensuring a high performing and customer focused transactional shared service that is continuously improving and seen as best-in-class public sector model.

• To provide a full business system administration and user support service for a HR Shared Service Centre; including maintenance, updating, testing, user security and development of systems and modules.

• To provide a comprehensive management information service, providing all intelligence reports to partnership members within information governance protocols.

• To act as a point of expertise for shared service systems; providing users with the skills they require through training delivery, documentation and query management.

Experience required for this role:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or a recognised statistical, IT, Business systems administration qualification OR formal off the job training.
• Extensive experience or working with Midland iTrent and Business Objects or similar corporate HR, Finance, Payroll system in a large large organisation including experience of producing management reporting.
• Experience of developing and implementing systems modules, security profiles, processes and procedures for a corporate system.
• Experience of project, activity and resource planning to meet challenging deadlines
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating performance and management information, suggesting and delivering changes to improve ways of working.
• Experience of providing help/support and guidance to users
• A record of success in promoting diversity and creating equality in service delivery and employment. Successfully sharing own knowledge and skills to support the continuous development of colleagues.
• Knowledge of Business ICT Systems administration. Practical knowledge of the application of information governance legislation and guidance including data protection, freedom of information, data classification and security.
• Knowledge of statistical/analytical techniques. Working knowledge of Business Objects at Expert level is highly sought after
