Our client, an established regulatory body based in the West End, are looking for an Events and Communications Manager who has experience of managing end to end business events, to join their team on a six month's FTC. The successful candidate will be immediately available.

The Role

- To help manage and deliver a number of events planned for each calendar year. To include: The Annual Dinner, Test Day, the International Summit, one international event and other key events
- Ensure all events are delivered at a consistently high professional standard.
- To help support in the CV Show especially PR, promotion and event operations.
- To assist with organising these events: from planning locations, briefing agencies, researching and inviting speakers and securing event attendees. To managing post event communications with stakeholders and attendees.
- To help manage external agencies helping to deliver led events.
- To report on all expenditure for events including processing of invoices and purchase orders in close coordination with the Senior Events and Communications Events Manager.
- To act as a Finance champion assisting the Director of Communications and International with cross department budgetary planning
- To manage branding including commissioning branding materials from external agencies.
- To assist the International Team in the planning of international events help to arrange where needed and to manage one international event a year, including attendance at the event, organisation of government grants and outreach to UK companies
- Attending and managing events organised, on the day(s) as appropriate.
- Supporting the media team around media outreach with journalists eg Test Day and arranging all necessary accreditation
- To assist with key communications projects including commissioning and planning Surveys and External Research work etc to help promote the industry in the media and with key stakeholders.
- To help assist with communications plans for key industry wide issues where necessary and to draft key messaging material and activities.

The Person

- Educated to degree level or beyond.
- Experience of managing projects, events and external agencies.
- An understanding of media requirements and the national news agenda. (NB this is not a Press Office role).
- Ability to manage events including day to day management of delegates and speakers
- Ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects.
- Ability to work confidently and effectively with all members of staff and industry representatives.
- Assist in sponsor outreach and management
- Experience of financial planning and budgetary process.
- First class written and verbal English skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and the ability to forge and maintain relationships across the industry.
- Competent IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer essential.
- Experience of event organisation.
