Job Purpose: Accountable for the development and delivery of the clients' colocation, datacentre & POP portfolio, encompassing skills that include design, vendor management, financial modelling, facility management, as well as strong project management. This role will cover many of the following areas of expertise; Design - Define the colocation/dc architectural strategy and set out the key elements, milestones, opportunities and risks through establishing a delivery framework. Deliver - Manage the translation of the colocation/dc strategy into the deliverable UK wide rollout and installing a "Business as Usual" BAU ecosystem for facility management including all process and procedures for safe operation. Operate Monitor - maximizing M&E performance by aligning the platform strategy & architecture with the operational management principles, including automation, analytics and service excellence. Operate Fix - In support of the Engineering, Operations & Vendor team undertaking M&E fault investigations. Key Responsibilities: To conduct architecture design, feasibility & cost studies To define the M&E POP lifecycle To work with the passive architecture in optimising the assets To define the strategy around POP et.al monitoring Point of escalation for network issues from Tier3 & Engineering To manage key vendor relationships on a strategic basis & run major procurement contracts Knowledge & Experience: Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self motivated with the ability to work well independently and on a team. Significant Vendor management experience Strong business case & financial modelling experience Excellent Mechanical Datacentre design & operation Excellent Electrical Datacentre design & operation
