Cambridge central
Up to £65,000 – Depending on experience

I am looking for analytical, imaginative and passionate Quality Assurance Engineer to join an energetic and forward thinking organisation based in central Cambridge.

This business is going from strength to strength and have recently doubled the headcount of their technical staff due to some great business wins. The software they create is completely bespoke for each individual client and involves some extremely complex algorithms, programming and testing before being released. They love to push the boundaries of technology and to do so have a teams of high level experts within a number of niche fields including, Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, QA and software development. They operate out of open plan offices with a warm and friendly environment and have an extremely high staff retention rate along with a well-known name on the market.

This is not your run of the mill Quality Assurance Engineer position and no one day will be the same, so if you are looking for something to challenging, interesting with great responsibility this could well be for you. The job of the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer is an extremely broad one and will require somebody who is passionate about quality and continuous improvement along with talking unexpected and uncommon challenges. You will be responsible for driving innovation, creating test strategies, analysing data sets, setting up processes from scratch and have an understanding of scripting languages such as Python.

To be considered for the position of Lead Quality Assurance Engineer you will need to have demonstrable experience with the following:

• Passion for Quality Assurance and continuous improvements
• The ability to tackle challenging issues with technical software products
• Experience with QA within Machine Learning
• Innovative thinking and problem solving
• Ability to perform deep analysis of tests and providing evaluations
• Experience within an electronics, software or engineering environment
• Be able to produce complex test procedures and processes from scratch
• The ability to test high quality software
• Analytical thinker
• Masters degree or PHD in Computer Science or a similar degree would be beneficial
• Great written and verbal communication skills
