A Travel and Events company based near Colchester is currently in the
process of expanding its business and services. As a result of this, they are
currently looking for a Business Travel Consultant work within their newly
created 24-Hour helpdesk.

After building an incredible reputation within the Travel and Events over
the past 30 years providing first-class service for their clients they are now
taking the next step forwards in enhancing the business by implementing their
helpdesk service.

Your role as Business Travel Consultant is to in-depth and accurate
advice to our customers as part of our Reservations and Corporate Travel Team.

One of the fantastic benefits of this position is that you
will be working from the comfort of your own home. The hours you will be
working at our 24-Hour helpdesk will be 1830 to 0800 Monday to Sunday, on a four-week rota

Key Responsibilities:

Researching the best options for clients taking into consideration Cost
and value of products to produce a tailored experience for them Being able to take accurate notes from their client which detail all
their necessary requirement Providing assistant to customers booking car hires source vehicles from
our database of preferred suppliers Ensuring that any queries that customers have are answered accurately and any necessary application are
provided accordingly Liaising with the EMS department to make sure that in regard to group
flight opportunities are identified and pursued Create and
maintaining professional relationships with both existing and potential clients
to facilitate the growth of the company’s Travel service To guarantee that all requests received for hotel accommodations are
documented accurately and efficiently Effectively use our hotel databases to provide hotels that most
accurately fit clients requirements To adjust and/amend reservations as and when clients request to, to
ensure that all data kept by the company is up to date To continually other team member informed with project you are
undertaking to seek out potential opportunities for cross-selling of the
businesses other services To periodically maintain and update hotel literature for clients To have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s Travel and
Accommodations Policies to be able to recall them to clients when necessary Follow the company’s procedures when sourcing new sales leads To build a strong knowledge of the latest developments and advancements
occurring within industry

About you:

You will have previous experience in business travel Strong GDS knowledge- either in Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre Great
interpersonal Skills to be able to communicate our services to our clients and
other staff Forward
thinking and self-starter able to explore the bests ways to improve themselves
and the company To have a
strong commercial awareness, staying up to date with the latest news occurring
within the Travel and events industry A fantastic
administrator who can organise and continually improve our company’s process Fantastic
telephone manner that ensures clients feel that they are well looked after by
the company
