Reed Finance Belfast is currently assisting a valued client in the Antrim area in their appointment of a qualified Finance Manager.

With almost 50 years’ of trading history, our client is enjoying a sustained period of growth and transformation and as such is seeking to employ a commercially astute Finance Manager on a permanent and full time basis.

Responsible to the Managing Director & Head of Financial Reporting, you will enjoy a varied role and play a key part in the company’s development. Responsibilities include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts; month end close process, journals and balance sheet reconciliations;
Weekly sales and gross profit reporting;
Provide analysis and commentary on the performance of the business;
Preparation of monthly finance pack and schedules;
Support for monthly business reviews;
Financial analysis of projects and opportunities;
Prepare the budget P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow and quarterly forecast for submission;
Management of working capital across debtors, creditors and stock;
Monthly/weekly cash flow analysis and reporting;
Preparation and submission of bi-monthly and quarterly VAT returns;
Preparation and submission of P11ds;
Review and approval of monthly payroll;
Assist group finance with preparation of Statutory Accounts;
Assisting the Group Finance Control function to ensure that all accounting and financial control policies are understood and applied within the business;
Identify and exploit opportunities for process improvements to streamline reporting and aid analytics;
Point of contact for external and internal audit;
Management and develop a small finance team of 2 FTE.

In order to apply for this quality role you will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a commercially focused outlook. You will offer excellent time management and interpersonal skills, together with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Having a strong analytical skills/an analytical mindset is essential, as are excellent financial systems and Microsoft office skills (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting and the ability to help transform, standardise and enhance current process/procedures is also essential. A full job description is available upon request.
