We are currently looking to recruit a Field Based Service, Calibration & Systems Engineer to work for a market leading weighing equipment manufacturer based in Chesterfield. The role will require you to cover the North West region of the UK (Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Stockport, Wigan)

The Role

  • Repair, service and install industrial weighing equipment at a variety of customers locations
  • To provide breakdown and preventative maintenance to associated clients and agents
  • Calibrating individual products and systems at customer premises in line with procedural requirements
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of fully automated weighing solutions and peripherals
  • Assist in the testing and commissioning of weighing related software products on clients sites
  • Able to work on a vast range of weighing equipment
  • Assist in interfacing and configuration of high level weighing solutions on clients LAN & WAN networks
  • Able to work to deadlines and timescale set by the company
  • To maintain accurate records of works conducted to determine the contracts profitability and engineer productivity
  • Be responsible for accurate management of vehicle spare parts stock
  • Ensuring that stock is kept safe and secure as part of this process to physically quality check equipment used to carry out the role
  • Identify and obtain new business and chargeable work whilst in the field where possible
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in planned overtime working 'out of hours' as and when required

Required Skills

  • It is essential that you have working knowledge of weighing and/or IT equipment
  • Be able to work as part of a team and also confidently alone
  • This role demands a lot of problem solving and prioritisng
  • You must have a flexibile approach to hours and the required work
  • You must hold a full and clean UK driving license and live in a local area
