Sheridan Maine is currently working with a well established company, based in Newbury, who are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their large finance team.

Within this role, the successful candidate will provide the company's stakeholder's payment and invoicing services. Responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring of the team mailbox to ensure all emails received are dealt within a timely manner.
  • Understanding and resolving any accounts queries.
  • Dealing with the process of payment requests, payments runs and dealing with necessary refunds.
  • Taking calls and dealing with emails to support the team in delivering good customer service to other internal departments as well as suppliers and customers.
  • Ensuring that supplier invoices are paid promptly and accurately to suppliers.
In order to be successful within this role you will have experience within Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger, ideally within a busy working environment in a larger finance team.

The candidate will benefit from being an organised individual whilst working in a fast paced environment. It will also be advantageous for the candidate to be able to work at an intermediate level in Microsoft Excel as well as having good general IT skills.
