What is the purpose of this role?

This exciting company based in Guildford are currently seeking an exceptional consolidations accountant to provide support for the retail division's finance function on an ongoing interim basis.

You will build core relations with your direct stakeholders within finance - sales & billing, opex, capex and cash & debt teams as well as group finance.

You will analyse and interpret the given data into a translated format assuring only the accurate and relevant information is shown. The outputs and comments provided from the consolidation reports are seen by senior management and thus will provide you with responsibility recognised by those outside your direct team.

What will this role involve?
  • Consolidate and produce timely an accurate management accounts
  • Consolidate and produce timely and accurate budgets, forecasts and strategic plan reports
  • Cash management & forecasting
  • Review financial performance with budget holders - looking at long term trends and cost control opportunities
  • Provide all inputs and commentary to the preparation and review of the business plan and assist in monitoring performance
  • Lead on the development and improvement of the reporting process

You will have proven track record of analysis, turning data into a presentable format by identifying key issues.

Excellent attention to detail is essential as well as the ability to be resilient, flexible and deliver to tight deadlines.

You will be well-versed in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels and thus possess good influencing skills.

In addition to this, a successful candidate will possess strong commercial awareness and be confident with using finance systems.

Salary details:

This role is based in Guildford, with a day rate of £325 to £350 dependent on experience.
