Prospero Teaching are working alongside a Special Educational Needs School in Hayes, West London, looking for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to start immediately.

These roles are on Temporary to Permanent basis.

Experience in a Special Educational Needs school is highly advantageous, but not essential! Nor is experience in a school environment at all, if you are qualified in some way (i.e. hold Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or have Level I, II or III qualifications in a related area), you are greatly encouraged to apply.

Further, if you have voluntary experience with Special Educational Needs, your application will be seriously considered. So long as you can demonstrate some enthusiasm for Special Educational Needs provision, the school will consider your application.

* Special Educational Needs school specialising in children with Complex Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder
* All students have Individual Educational Plans - big focus on individual provision for each student
* Some students may have additional physical disabilities

About the role...

* Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
* Responsibilities include assisting students, possibly on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, with their learning, assisting the Class Teacher with preparation of resources, assisting the Class Teacher with behaviour management
* There are a variety of classes which need Teaching Assistants - Which one you end up in depends on your preference, experience and skills
* You will learn from truly expert staff
* Opportunity for excellent Continued Professional Development

The successful Teaching Assistants must have one of the following ...

* Experience in Special Educational Needs Schools
* Experience in Mainstream Schools
* Level I/II/III qualifications in a field related to young people, care or education
* BA/BSc Psychology
* Voluntary or personal experience with Special Educational Needs persons
