This is an outstanding leader in highly engineered special purpose machines which continues to expand and develop new technologies which separate them from the competition. They have a global customer base and have a design environment which is a key site for innovation and product quality. They are currently experiencing unprecedented growth and they need ambitious individuals to carry out new product concept design and development.
The role includes assisting in managing product development team in an efficient manner, and in accordance with the company's objectives. There are classic product development responsibilities including concept design, development and project engineering. The role is also customer focused to give and receive feedback and ensure the best possible products are being delivered. As well as improving products and processes you will also be focused on working with key customers and machine development.
This role is perfect for an ambitious design engineer with a passion and desire to develop the best engineered products on the market and push the boundaries technically in a leading edge environment. You need to be able to think 'outside the box' in solving complex concept design problems as well as investigating technology developments. Ideal backgrounds include special purpose machine or high tech product design although the persons attitude and willingness to learn are key. An ability to guide others, as well as a minimum qualification of HNC and some 3D design skills are also desired. Above all a first class attitude to solving problems and communication skills is required to succeed in the role.
Your role is key in taking the engineering, applications and development functions forward and receive excellent progression opportunities to fulfil your potential. This includes lead engineer or management roles longer term. You will also be supported via excellent training and development.
