Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client to join them initially on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract as a Project Finance Manager. You will be responsible for responsible for managing the financial aspects for their business projects.

A huge part of the role will be stakeholder management and liaising with their Clients.

The Role

Working closely with the internal Asset Management team and Institutional Investors, this role is responsible for overseeing the seamless delivery of the Commercial and Corporate Finance activities for a variety of complex site projects. With this role, you will provide pivotal direction to a team of Project Management Accountants.

* Strategic financial business partner to a portfolio of Asset Managers.
* Assist with new business proposals.
* Regular interaction with the city, institutional investors and lenders.
* Hold overall responsibility for management and financial accounting for each site project
* Lead and develop a growing team of project accountants.
* Responsible for business planning, cash management reviews and forecasting
* Responsible for external and statutory audit liaison
* Development and management of policies and procedures
* Develop and maintain a system of financial controls
* Run and maintain complex financial Investment models
* Management and statutory reporting for customers and third parties
* Participate in monthly Project Management meetings reporting progress
* Report to management and external clients in a clear and professional manner

Candidate:

* Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with min 5 years PQE
* Staff management experience
* Experience within the utility sector is desirable
* Solid experience of commercial finance: budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, business partnering, KPI analysis etc.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Team player

Benefits

* Paying a basic salary of up to £45,000.
* Monday - Friday working hours (Monday - Thursday 9 am - 5 pm, Friday 9 am - 4 pm) although some flexibility may be required at certain times.

Please note that this position to start with will be a maternity cover position to start the end of February 2018.
