Deputy Chief Nurse
The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute and community provider delivering a range of health care services to people in Rotherham and across South Yorkshire.
We have an ambitious vision for the future and the part we will play in meeting the health and social care needs of the local community and the wider region. Our innovative and forward thinking approach means we are at the forefront of care delivery for people at home, in the community and in hospital.
At the heart of the Trust are more than 4,200 members of staff who are working out of the main Rotherham Hospital site and a number of community locations.
We are working closely with health and social care partners in Rotherham to ensure a seamless approach to providing care from the cradle to the grave for the people of Rotherham.
To fulfil this vision and to continue to strive for excellence means that we need to appoint the very best person and enable them to flourish.
You’ll be working closely with the Chief Nurse to help provide strong leadership and professional nursing advice in a climate of change, enabling high quality patient centred services to be delivered to patients across the Trust.
You’ll also provide specialist advice to Executive and Board members, Clinical Directors, Heads of Nursing and General Managers, nursing and non-medical staff on issues relevant to nursing and midwifery and the Chief Nurse’s associated corporate responsibilities.
Work in partnership with the Medical and Associate Medical Directors in developing, implementing and evaluating Corporate Strategies.
In addition you’ll take the lead role on a range of corporate projects identified by the Chief Nurse and provide support to the Chief Nurse and deputise across the full range of nursing and related responsibilities in leading nursing at a corporate level.
An ambitious Registered Nurse, you will be joining at an exciting time as the Trust and its partners change the way that care is delivered in Rotherham and South Yorkshire by developing services which are at the leading edge of innovation.
Essentially you will offer relevant experience of working in an acute multi-professional environment and have demonstrable, credible nursing leadership and strategic thinking skills that you are keen to utilise across a broader landscape.
