Role: Maintenance Manager

Salary: £40,000+ per annum based on experience

Shifts: Day shifts

Primarily based: Sunderland (SR4)

TM Resourcing are currently working with a global company that manufacture and supply automotive interior products, who are looking for a Maintenance Manager for their Sunderland site. They are headquartered in the UK, with operations spread throughout Europe and have this opportunity for an experienced candidate capable of effectively performing the role of Expert Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure PFMEA is generated/supported at correct time and relevant controls are adopted for planned manufacturing processes

Ability to interpret engineering drawings/data notes and part specifications/tolerances. Ensure planned processes can meet these specifications.

Lead process choice solutions to ensure planned processes adopt "best practice"

Contribute to the achievement of QSES and 5Z Plan

Supply Shipping Judgement/QPES Data

Global BU interface for NPL & Global Best Practice

Ensure all planned process capital & tooling expenditure & cashflow is tracked. Develop recovery plans as required.

Manage Process Improvement / MTCR activity for associated processes

Develop and monitor process/equipment/tooling programmes to meet milestones & KPIs as defined within CIPPS/EPMS

Ensure development of shopfloor layouts and modification to existing layouts are up to date.Consult with other functions where necessary

Provide Management / Global BU with information regarding process / project status as required.

Carry out supplier audits

Lead the generation of equipment/tooling specifications

Carry out equipment/tooling buy off

Reporting of process readiness

Ensure Engineers reference the latest health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines to relevant machine and tooling specifications ( must keep up to date knowledge of relevant regulations/guidelines)

Ensure Engineers have familiarity with PUWER 98 / CE requirements

Ensure equipment risk assessments are carried out for all new processes.

Maintain conformance with health and safety standards

Maintain conformance with environmental systems

Ensure relevant PPE is always worn by self and others

Plan and carry out PADRs with Engineers as required.

Contribute to training plans.

Coordinate Engineers activities

Monitor and advise planned overtime on weekly basis.

Monitor and track holiday entitlements for Engineers

Carry out return to work interviews as required

Carry out recruitment interviews

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in interior engineering and project introduction.

Working knowledge of G-CIPPS and EPMS project management systems.

Very good communicator

Capable of leading a small team of Engineers

Qualification Degree preferred in an Engineering discipline, HNC minimum required.
