Due to continued development & growth my client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality/Continuous Improvement Engineer based at their manufacturing site in the Hope Valley.

You will be responsible for supporting the business to ensure that products meet the required standards to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Working in a cross functional team environment you will develop and implement best practices whilst recommending new directions to be taken by investigation and proof having considered design, cost-value engineering, continuous improvement and desired commercial outcome in order to ensure the delivery of a quality product on time.

Primary responsibilities :
*Support the Management by raising and investigating all quality related issues within the manufacturing & engineering to their resolution. (Internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty issues included).
*Participate in and lead the identification of root cause for the quality related issues and support the development and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
*Develop and maintain documentation including process control plans, standard operating procedures and flow charts.
*Have an involvement in the design and introduction of new products by using best practice methods.
*Be the conduit for investigation and direction for warranty claims, reporting findings and solutions to the Quality Manager.
*Carry out internal system, process and product auditing.
*Assist in the training of personnel in all aspects of practice and process.
*To actively participate and contribute in cost reduction activities.
*Undertake project and project management activities as directed by Senior Management.

Qualifications & Experience
*Several years' experience in a similar Quality or Continuous Improvement role.
*Apprentice trained or qualified in a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering discipline.
*Quality systems knowledge & experience.
*Experience of leading process improvement projects.
*Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
*Able to drive change within an organisation.
*Be hands on, competent in gathering information, analysis and reporting findings together with the commitment to follow through and achieve change.
*Ambitious with a desire to progress.
*Methodical and logical thinker with strong problem solving skills.
*Tenacious with the ability to sell ideas to others and to overcome resistance to change.
*Confident to communicate at all levels.
*Full clean driving license and passport.
*Willing to travel internationally on business if required.

Salary £38k depending upon experience and qualifications.
