Mechanical / Electrical Technician (Days) £26k - £28k & Pension, Bonus, additional benefits Ilkeston Overview: We have a unique and excellent opportunity for an Electrical / Mechanical Technician based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. This role represents the opportunity to come in to a massively established organisation (around since the 1800's originally!) but family owned with a culture where everyone knows each other and really gets along where you will be the technical professional on their modern site. We can offer normal working hours (8-5) during the week so no nights, weekends or early / late shifts and no call outs. So a role you can really make your own, being the technical professional on a small site and assisting the work force where possible. The role has only come around due to retirement - the last person was here for over 12 years to give you an idea of the culture and longevity of the role! What are we looking for? We are not looking for someone who is a master at everything, but someone who can do a bit of everything ideally. You don't need to be a high level electrical and / or mechanical engineer who has worked on massively complex projects, but a professional who has good knowledge around all parts. Someone who can read electrical diagrams, mechanically fix machines, electrically fix relatively simple machinery, communicate with the operators to rectify problems - whatever you need to do to keep the facility working really. This is on a small manufacturing facility with modern production machinery where, in all honesty, not a lot goes wrong. A lot of the role is reactive, but if we you can add more proactive maintenance in place that would be great! If there is a major problem with the machinery (which is VERY rare), we have a network of contacts that can come in and rectify it so you're not expected to so everything. So sector and high level experience isn't massively important, attitude most certainly is! Company and culture: The company and the culture are what really makes this truly unique. A small manufacturing facility but one that has stood since the 1800s. One that is massively profitable and at full capacity with a full order book with a real family feel there. It represents a laid back culture and one where you are very much left to your own devices to get your work done and make the role your own. It is a place where the workforce tends to stay for a long time which reflects the excellent working conditions and culture. If this seems like an opportunity that appeals, send your CV through and I will be more than happy to go through this in more detail. Look forward to hearing your story… Mechanical / Electrical Technician (Days)
