Your new role

This position will support BDO, a top-tier Professional Services firm. We are looking for a hands on Marketing and Social Media Assistant within the Early in Career Team, attracting and recruiting School Leavers, Undergraduates and Graduates into the firm’s Audit, Tax, Advisory and Business Services and Outsourcing programmes. Based in Leicester, you will work remotely, reporting directly to the Marketing Specialist based in London, to engage and attract Graduates and School Leavers into BDO’s Early in Career Programmes. This role will support with direct engagement across both School and University activity. The role will involve occasional travel to London. We are specifically looking for someone comfortable working remotely, with experience and a passionate understanding of both email marketing, events and social media. This is a busy and varied role with plenty of scope for you to develop your skills, and have a direct and visible impact on our early in career hiring activities, working as part of an experienced and dedicated team. You’ll need to be well organised and deadline-driven with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload. You must have first-class communication skills to liaise with colleagues across the business as well as external partners. Responsibilities

• Responsible for updating Early in Career Social Media channels, content and monitoring, ensuring we have a planned media schedule • Writing engaging and informative copy to appeal to our target audiences. • Responsible for managing email marketing, designing templates and engaging comms to send to potential Graduate and School Leaver candidates • Responsible for updating content on our website- events, amends, blogs. • Represent and organise BDO’s attendance at selected events • Coordinate allocation of marketing collateral to events • Prepare event briefing memos for business using approved templates • Building relationships with key regional stakeholders /external agencies / Universities / Schools & Professional Institutions • Assist in development of marketing materials and tools (e.g. set up for photo shoots and approval requests from Marketing and Communications for use of photographs, copy, etc.) • Update and maintain contact sheet and information flyer distributed to candidates • Partner with recruiters to plan and execute individual and business specifics marketing and attraction plans i.e. online forums, dedicated mailers or targeted social media posts

Requirements

• Candidate must be comfortable working independently with remote line-management • Experience using email marketing software • Experience updating website content • Passionate and deep understanding for social media • Graduate calibre or equivalent - previous relevant experience gained within graduate recruitment or marketing within Professional Services is desirable. • Attention to detail; good time management skills and a self-starter who is able to work independently • Passionate about early trainee recruitment and able to engage audiences of all levels • Excellent communication skills - oral and written • Resilient with good attention to detail and demonstrating an initiative approach • Professional personal presentation with diplomacy and cultural sensitivity skills • Confident in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
