SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time

Location: Shropshire

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £55-65 per day

The School/role:

We are working with an SEN School within Shropshire who are currently seeking a strong Teaching assistant to join them on a long term basis. This role is likely to run for the rest of the academic year and you will be working with pupils SEMH needs. Due to these needs you will need a strong background working with challenging behaviour pupils in a SEN setting previously and have exceptional relationship building skills.

This is a good setting and they have a strong team in place where the current TA’s provide a high level of assistance to both the teachers and pupils.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or above)
  • Experience in an SEN School or PRU
  • Available full time
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID - Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS - on the update service
