About your Role

This role sits within Capita Communications & Control Solutions business unit, providing the core IT services that support our Company and our Customers, in particular Configuration Management control in accordance with the requirements of the ISO20K standard.

The role will ensure Configuration Management is applied and maintained in line with the ITIL Framework and ISO20K as defined in the Service Catalogue and Business Service Register.

This role involves both process and resource management skills and will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to process, SLA compliance and identifying improvements that will be addressed via the Continuous Service Improvement Program (CSIP).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Configuration Engineer/Analyst is directly responsible for:

  • Effective prosecution of the Configuration Management process using controlled process, procedures and tools to maintain the Configuration Management system and continued compliance to required IS020K

  • Creation and maintenance of baselines and releases.

  • Update and maintenance of the configuration Management toolsets.

  • Maintain current and archived versions of documents in the Document Reference Library.

EXPERIENCE

  • Good understanding of all Service disciplines - e.g. Change, Incident, Problem, Release etc.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Able to analyse and diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent customer relationship skills
