Serco Health

Serco supports primary and acute care providers by supplying a range of services including hospital facilities management, equipment, transport, procurement and clerical support. Over half a million of the 1,241,325 NHS staff work in the vital range of fields that support clinical care. Serco employed cleaners, catering staff, porters and those in many other support roles have daily contact with patients and their families directly impacting on patient experience and care. They release clinical staff from non-clinical activity and help make more effective use of hospital facilities and clinical assets. They are the ‘eyes and ears’ of the healthcare system, trained to know that a happy patient will recover more quickly- safely and compassionately.

We are looking for an experienced Trainer to deliver a series of workshops collectively called ‘Serco Cares’. This is a fantastic opportunity to roll out an exciting initiative to over 6,000 staff across Serco Health as well as empowering colleagues with ‘train the trainer’ workshops. This training will play a key role in the Serco Health business, upskilling our frontline staff in making sure they recognise the impact they have on patient experience and relationships across our NHS sites. You will already be a trainer delivering behavioural training to frontline staff. Working across multiple sites and used to travelling, you will have experience of delivering large scale multi-site training programmes over significant time periods. You will have worked as a coach and mentor previously, having delivered ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops. We want you to be innovative and creative in developing solutions that offer value for money and clear return on investment.

This role will require travel extensive travel and regular overnight stays (up to 4 nights a week).
