Driver / Distribution Assistant An opportunity to help support a leading children’s cancer charity. Today, 11 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families, and provides them with clinical, practical, emotional and financial support. You can be a part of helping them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. Position: Distribution and Logistics Assistant Location: Bristol Contract type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 35 per week Salary: £15,379 Closing Date: 22 January 2018 Interview date: 30 January 2018 The successful candidate will be busy with a varied daily workload of collecting and distributing stock from CLIC Sargent shops as well as from private and corporate donors. They will need to work flexibly within a team to meet challenging demands while adapting to short notice changes. They will also need to be able to undertake the physical demands of the role and to move and carry stock in line with manual handling guidelines (appropriate training will be provided). The successful applicant will have: -At least 5 years of driving experience, -Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and manage time effectively, -Ability to show initiative and be able to solve problems, -Good administrative skills while working in a customer facing environment, -Ability to follow defined procedures and policies, -An understanding of Health & Safety issues; -Good IT skills What we offer: In return for your commitment, we offer a great reward package, which includes generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme and season ticket loan.
