Graduate DevOps Engineer who is a graduate with commercial experience in Linux systems administration / Linux DevOps / Infrastructure Automation or Python Development, is required by tech giant to work on the infrastructure automation of one of the world largest and award winning Openstack private cloud's which is currently getting 1,000 deployments per day.

This is an opportunity to get yours hands on Linux, Python, Openstack, Kafka, API's, CI /CD, Nuage VSP and be part of the automation everything and be at the forefront of innovation in CI / CD Delivery.

You will technical skills in some of
  • Experience of Linux Systems administration, or DevOps or Infrastructure Automation
  • Ideally Knowledge of CI "continuous Integration" / CD "Continuous Delivery" and any knowledge of RESTful API's is ideal
  • Ideally coding skills ideally in Python or Ruby or Java or Ansible as you will be automating infrastructure.
  • Embrace new technologies and ideas and be able to work in team environment with a challenge everything mantra
  • Ideally a background in web or highly transactional site delivery and operations.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel within Europe

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible and Openstack and Software Defined Networking
  • Excellent presentation skills for both internal and external conferences.
  • Agile delivery methodology

Key Responsibilities

  • Help development team's on-board applications onto OpenStack by creating continuous delivery pipelines for technology such as Kafka, Apache Storm, MySQL and many more in a completely immutable way.
  • Provide consultancy to development teams looking to deploy new technology or types of applications
  • Look at ways of utilizing OpenStack API's to automate manual activities in the data-center
  • Offer deployment teams a choice of VM's (nova), bare metal (Ironic) or containers (Kubernetes) to on-board their applications and help maintain the self-service workflow that the teams will use.
  • Implementing a continuous improvement model using feed-back loops for continuous integration and CD pipelines so each process is improved continuously.
  • Creating unit and performance tests for our CD pipelines and automation framework
  • Assessing new technology that could be beneficial and creating POC's to evaluate new tooling or technology
  • Raising the technical profile of Infrastructure Automation internally and in the wider technical community.
