An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate to join our client, an international transport company based in Manchester. The successful candidate will assist the Engineering department of the company as they begin the mobilisation of contracts and delivery of project plans regarding a brand new project they have just acquired.

The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills and able to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines. If you are a recent graduate with an interest to be involved within the projects side of the infrastructure sector then this could be the role for you!

Graduate Engineer - Project Support key responsibilities:

  • Provide full support to the Engineering team as they begin to work on the project, adhering to the laid out project plans

  • Gathering data and research and assisting key project teams with tasks such as data analysis and report writing

  • Assisting with the planning of project schedules to be carried out and assisting with on - site tasks as required

  • Provide general ad hoc administration support to the project

  • Building and developing strong relationships with people of all levels and across multiple departments

Graduate Engineer - Project Support essential skills include:

  • Educated to a minimum degree standard with a 2.1 grade or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Geography or a related discipline

  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel

  • Strong written and communication skills and an excellent team player

  • Able to think logically and work intuitively

  • High attention to detail and a good degree of accuracy with the ability to pick up on minor errors

  • Experience in or an interest in the infrastructure sector or similar area is desirable
