Scrum Master - Agile - Agile Coach - Development Manager - Kanban - Scrumban - Software Development - Scrum Master.

Scrum Master required for global organisation based near Watford, Hertfordshire. The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the effective day to day running of Agile delivery teams within Scheme Services, ensuring that Agile best practices are adopted and applied in the most efficient manner. This would be achieved by introducing and applying the most appropriate Agile approach for the delivery of the product.

Duties Include:

  • Support the day to day running of the agile delivery teams, helping them to meet their commitment to their sprint goal.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies for their teams.
  • Coach and mentor the teams to instil an agile approach and culture.
  • Motivate, inspire and give clear direction to the team to encourage a customer and commercial focus, excellent results and performance.
  • Ensure blockers are owned and removed so that the teams can continue working with minimal delay.
  • Act as Scrum Master multiple agile teams (maximum of two).
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders, primarily the Product Owner, to prioritise the backlog and create and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Apply the appropriate level of Agile governance to the delivery process, covering communication, reporting and metrics.
  • Own the Confluence Space and Jira project for the product ensuring these reflect the current state of the delivery and Agile best practice.
  • Act as an advocate for agile to help drive culture change.
  • Act as the single point of contact for the delivery team.
  • Develop, manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships with the Product Management, Portfolio Management, Customer Services, and across COO and the schemes.
  • Skills Required:

  • Strong experience of working in engineering teams, as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Development Manager.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading transformation to Agile practices or continuous improvements in newly established Agile teams.
  • Been part of the transition from traditional Waterfall to Agile working, understanding both cultures.
  • Solid experience of working with Agile teams that develop large, high transaction services.
  • Knowledge of Java and Oracle development highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban techniques in relation to software development.
