Graduate Payments/ Settlements Officer - £18,000-£21,000 - Northwich - Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a number of Graduates to join an established bank in their Northwich office during an exciting period of growth. The Bank is seeking for bright individuals to join their Treasury and Settlements department. The role will involve working on a shift pattern basis, with shifts between 8am and 7pm Monday - Friday (8 hour shift). This is a great opportunity for a Finance/ Banking/ Economics Graduate to gain a permanent position within an innovative bank with great progression prospects. To be considered for this role the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in International payments & processing, demonstrate a keen eye for detail and be able to work effectively to strict deadlines.

The Role:
This role will be responsible for the administration of all operational aspects of trade finance products. You will be working with a close-knit dynamic team ensuring all policies & regulations are being adhered to.
Main Duties:
*Drive and take ownership for the execution of all Treasury transactions. These include FX, MM and securities processing.
*Maintain an excellent degree of accuracy whilst working to tight deadlines and be able to adapt in a changing and demanding environment.
*Liaise with the Treasury front office assist in the management of daily cash balances and currency positioning.
*Manage and run a successful training structure for a small-medium sized team.
*Knowledge of SWIFT messaging - MT103/MT202 and MT300/MT320.
*Resolve internal and external customer queries regarding cash in a timely and professional manner.

The Successful Candidate:

To be considered for this role the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in International payments & processing, demonstrate a keen eye for detail and be able to work effectively to strict deadlines.

*Proven experience in a Financial Services (banking) environment, preferably of working in a foreign currencies and payment processing using banking systems. (desirable)
*Highly self-motivated, with a positive mind-set that can influence and motivate different personality types.
*Excellent administration and time management skills - ability to manage and organise multiple work streams simultaneously.
*Relevant experience within a Back office / administration office environment.
*Knowledge of Swift Messaging - MT103 / MT202 and MT300/ MT320 (desirable)
