If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your career and already have experience as a workshop controller, technician or service advisor then we have a great opportunity for you, the position rarely comes up for grabs so get your applications in quick! – Good luck Reporting to the Service Manager some of the main Workshop Controller Responsibilities will include: + Responsible for the efficiency and utilization of technicians + Ensuring successful distribution of job cards through the workshop + All related administration is completed to an accurate standard. + Ensure accurate & timely processing of all "job card write-ups" and job completion status on DMS + Pass all completed jobs to service costing / warranty / administration for invoicing whilst ensuring all work hours expended have been documented + Operate the workshop loading system, allocating jobs to the Technicians who are most suitable + Enjoy hitting both personal and department targets The Workshop Controller must have knowledge of: + The current product range, new models and recent improvement through technical bulletins, training courses and technical magazines + Appropriate telephone techniques and etiquette + Health and Safety policy and procedures + The internal structure and function of the retail facility + Automotive systems, including an understanding of basic vehicle layout, function and location of parts + Invoicing and billing procedures + Warranty guidelines and how to apply them to warranty service orders + General office equipment e.g. telephones, copiers, computer programmes + Retail/wholesale standards and adherence to those standards + Current marketing campaigns Key Requirements for the role + Good technical knowledge + Flexible approach to working hours + Good computer skills ( Excel, Word, Outlook) + Ability to multi-task + Full Driving licence + Ability to supervise a team Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6pm, Saturdays on a rota from 830am until 1230pm, 30 minutes lunch Company benefits include: + Competitive Salary + Workplace Pension + Career Development & Training through Nationwide Academy + Retail Discount off Parts and new vehicles + 20 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays You may have worked in the following capacities: Dealer Service Advisor, Workshop Service Controller, Vehicle Technician, Workshop Coordinator, Automotive Service Advisor.
