Cisco Network Engineer – Cisco UC specialist – 18 month contract – based in Uxbridge, West London – paying £350 per day – interviews asap! The Opportunity: This is a standalone role here in the UK and we require expertise in Cisco Unified Communications and related products. You will be acting as their Lead Engineer here in the UK and EMEA for implementing, supporting and maintaining the communications suite portfolio of products and for providing best in class support and service delivery across all of their worldwide sites and locations. You will help with their suite of Communications Systems and provide an oversight for implementation, maintenance and operations of these tools in a highly regulatory and compliant environment. The communications suite portfolio of products includes Cisco IP telephony (Call Manager, voicemail, contact centre), Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business, video conferencing infrastructure and units, cloud based communications and collaboration tools, streaming media services, efax system and web and audio conferencing services. Skills and Experience: Candidates will have demonstrable experience in installing, configuring, administrating and troubleshooting advanced Cisco IP Telephony systems and technical solutions in service provider Cisco voice environments. This is a customer facing role so excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential. Installation, configuration and administration of Cisco Enterprise voice solutions (Cisco Call Manager 7.x - 11.x, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco CME, CUE, UCCX) Technical expertise in voice over IP, telephony, QoS, network routers, voice gateways, SIP trunks Qualified in one or more of the following: CCDP or CCDE or CCIE Routing Switching and off the Wireless certifications CCNA or CCNP or CCIE Wireless Role and Responsibilities: You will take the responsibility for providing the ongoing maintenance and operations for communications platforms and tools and maintaining these systems in a supportable, compliant state, performing periodic reviews on systems per system documentation and that systems remain in a compliant state as needed. You will also provide support for communications platforms and tools and providing documentation and guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams. Serves in a key role of the extended Network Services team to assist in critical incident response, direction setting, project participation and oversight, and overall network operations. Working closely with Network Architects and Engineers to define product solutions and implement new solutions across the business, there are a number of new projects you will be assigned to under the direction of senior management and in conjunction with the global technology roadmap.
