Internal Communications Manager
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity with a mission to lead the fight for every heartbeat through pioneering cardiovascular research. We fund thousands of scientists in the UK carrying out cardiovascular research and our work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are helping to change the face of the UK's fight against heart disease.
About the role
The BHF has ambitious plans to ensure it becomes a truly world class organisation. With around 3,600 staff and 22,000 volunteers across the UK, communicating and engaging with our people is a vital part of achieving our strategy.
We are recruiting for an Internal Communications Manager to work with the Head of Internal Communications, to develop and deliver a world class internal communication and engagement strategy. This is an exciting time to join an ambitious organisation and help to shape the internal communications function.
You will lead on the delivery of internal communications across the organisation and provide communications advice for projects and colleagues in all our directorates. Measurement and a continuous improvement mind-set will be key to driving the changes that will help the organisation to succeed.
You will have a proven track record in delivering internal communications in multi-site organisations to a variety of audiences. Ideally with line management experience you will have strong project management skills, partnered with substantial experience of writing and editing copy and an ability to influence at all levels.
Please note this is a full time position but we would be open to a job share arrangement
