Job; B2B Marketing Communications Manager - Bedford

As this company’s B2B Marketing Communications Manager, you will develop and execute their external communications plan; you will create and manage impactful and targeted PR campaigns and deliver effective initiatives across B2B comms touchpoints including, but not limited to, events, social media and partner communications.

Key responsibilities;

Public Relations…

  • You’ll be their day-to-day lead for all PR activities; working with their agency to develop and implement their external communications plan
  • You’ll build great relationships with a network of internal stakeholders and spokespeople to manage press office enquiries, develop press releases, campaign materials, thought leadership and assets to enhance the external reputation of their company.
  • You’ll ensure all plans and campaigns are supportive of, and in line with their sales and marketing strategy and their overall business strategy
  • You’ll support their Head of Marketing in managing brand reputation
  • You’ll drive forward industry partnerships to ensure the maximum benefit is realised for all parties

Marketing Communications…

  • You’ll develop concise and effective corporate communications to support in building great partnerships with their corporate clients, ranging from proactive business updates to reactive statements
  • You’ll lead proactive engagement content across social media and be responsible for developing and driving a social media strategy that supports business objectives. A focus on LinkedIn is anticipated.
  • You’ll get under the skin of a diverse range of target audiences to create impactful campaigns that deliver measurable business outcomes
  • You’ll develop creative assets and content across a range of touchpoints, including but not limited to events (roundtables, conferences, exhibitions), corporate presentations, digital, print and social media.
  • You’ll work in partnership with their Business Intelligence Analysts to drive forward their competitive intelligence platform
  • On a biennial basis, you will deliver a superlative outcome by being the content and design lead for their flag ship customer conference

You will need to have/be;

  • Strong copy-writing skills, including great business writing and an ability to translate complex product and technical information into simple and compelling narratives that stand-out and connect with audiences
  • Exemplary editing and proof-reading skills
  • Digitally savvy
  • Analytical and curious – a natural at interpreting data to find the story
  • Good design eye and knowledge
  • Confident at building strong internal and external working relationships at all levels

Required for the role;

  • Several years’ in a multi-faceted external communications role with strong PR credentials
  • Proven track record in B2B marketing
  • Educated to degree level, ideally in a relevant discipline such as PR, journalism, English, Marketing, Business etc
  • Photoshop/Adobe Creative Cloud experience (or equivalent)
