Our clients are a manufacturing company based in Huddersfield. They are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Analyst to provide maternity cover on a 12 month fixed term contract. Offering an initial salary of £24,250 and working Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30. Our client can offer good on-site facilities and free parking. THE PURCHASE LEDGER ANALYST ROLE Responsibility for the management and analysis of a number of UK and Foreign supplier AP accounts. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices. Reconciliation of all bank accounts, providing monthly analysis of account transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES OF PURCHASE LEDGER ANALYST Ensure all invoices are processed under the correct company and SOx procedures Error Correction - reconciliation of supplier invoices to purchase order receipts which have failed to match automatically Resolving invoice queries, which involves liaising between suppliers, CBS and internal customers Reconcile supplier statements against GRNI, and AP ledger balances Process inter-company invoices and resolve any queries via the intercompany dispute database Process weekly debit notes in time for month end cut off. Prepare detailed analysis to assist reporting Completion of Credit Account application forms Inputting of daily banking details into banking summary spreadsheets and completing monthly bank reconciliations whilst ensuring correct VAT analysis Paying in of cheques and cash to bank accounts Maintaining the company bank mandates Request and process payments through CBS Europe Cash Set up Direct Debit and Standing Orders and maintain reconciliation spreadsheet Support the business with day-to-day query resolution driven from the Indirect Purchasing (Ariba) system SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Problem solving experience - particularly with internal and external suppliers (invoice queries). Proficient on excel spreadsheets and the use of excel based analytical tools. Excellent Customer Service and communication skills Experience of working within an Accounts department (desired but not essential) AAT part-qualified or working towards (desired but not essential) If you feel that you have the necessary skills and experience to be considered for this role, press APPLY now.
