Senior Care Assistant
Heritage Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant to join the team at Holmers House in High Wycombe. Joining us on a full time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £8.50 per hour. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our home, Holmers House, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. As a Senior Care Assistant you will ensure that services are provided that respect the choice, dignity and rights of individuals. You will work as part of a team, providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. With a flexible approach to work and responsibilities, you will ideally hold an NQQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in health and Social Care. You will need to possess good communication skills that will help you interact with service users and their families. Experience with a supervisory role within a health care setting would be an advantage. Duties involved will include updating/writing care plans and risk assessments, supervising staff, supporting the Care Team Leader on shift and administering medication. Holmers House is a purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for older people living with dementia. It has 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has their own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for residents and have all been trained to support people with varying levels of need. Hours of work: 35 hours per week including early and late shifts e.g. 7am -2.30pm/ 2pm-9.30 pm.
