Want to help an extremely well known and highly trusted retail brand completely re-develop and design their digital and internal applications/systems? We are exclusively working with this Edinburgh based retail company who have outlets throughout the UK and were one of the first in their sector to have an online shop. They have also built an extremely impressive brand and reputation, as being one of the premier and quality focused businesses in a highly competitive market. They are a great bunch of people and are looking to rapidly improve their internal IT estate and digital presence. You will have the opportunity to put your development skills to the test in a fast paced and high quality development environment that will give you great exposure. What your background should look like; Demonstrable experience across OO PHP development Have developed a range of websites and web apps Knowledge of responsive and adaptive frameworks Good MySQL / SQL database backend website integration Some knowledge of CMS architectures Any experience in the following areas would be a real bonus; Knowledge of Magento or another large scale CMS Overall software development experience with developing client and server‐side, web-based solutions Knowledge of NodeJS desirable Knowledge of Linux OS desirable Front-end coding skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ideally with strong Bootstrap Framework experience) Experience with high availability, high traffic websites/systems Quality delivery is the name of the game in an agile environment. You will need to be capable of taking responsibility for your own workload and meeting high expectations.
