Purpose of the JobTo design and write all ICT, MOS, TLM, ITQ and Computer Science programmes to ensure they hit National Curriculum specifications and customer requirements. To work with the Curriculum Manager to write and improve materials and decrease materials problems on all courses.

To control and organise the flow of moderation being generated in accordance with the Awarding Organisations specifications.

To deliver engaging and inspirational programmes leading to defined outcomes for young learners in accordance with PET-Xi’s company values and which meet prescribed internal and external standards, in accordance with the detailed specification agreed with the particular client.

To monitor and quality assure all aspects of ICT programmes from staff training to verification of results.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks (Office):

·Creation of course material, ICT, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), TLM, ITQ and Computer Science, to ensure it meets customer requirements

·Investigate instances of curriculum based complaints

·Interviewing potential new ICT and Computing Experts plus the creation, development and marking of expert/trainer assessments

·Writing, organising and running regular training sessions for new and existing ICT training staff

·Overseeing the analysis of all results for invoicing

·Overseeing the analysis of actual GCSE results in comparison with course results

·Advise on suitable staff on the work rota to include information on best team combinations to drive results

·Daily monitoring of any ICT courses and tracking of important data for all courses running including staff performance in order to generate league performance tables

·Creating course registers that are used by the Lead Trainer

·General management of ICT staff

Key Tasks (Course):

·Follow the Rules and Procedures for Training Staff

·Deliver the agreed programme in accordance with the lesson plan

·Observe all staff and provide course reports when doing course visits

·Provide supervision, guidance and training to the training team

·Ensure good housekeeping at the programme venue and compliance with local health and safety requirements

·Where necessary, refer complaints immediately to the National Programme Delivery manager

·Ensure care and security of equipment booked out e.g. laptops

·This role requires travel and overnight accommodation throughout the UK on a regular basis

Skills and Experience·Previous experience of teaching ICT up to Key stage 4

·Previous experience of developing materials in accordance with Awarding Organisations standards

·Ability to engage with and inspire young learners by using appropriate training techniques and inter-personal skills

·Create an appropriate learning environment and maintain a disciplinary framework by demonstrating a strong ‘presence’ in the classroom or venue

·At all times deliver learning in accordance with PET- Xi published values, sometimes in the face of provocation and under pressure

·Engage effectively with the client at local level and actively respond to any complaints or concerns

·Be capable of modifying delivery method or learner work plans when appropriate (self-reliance)

·Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office applications i.e.Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

·Experience of managing staff including disciplinary procedures would be useful

Qualifications·Qualified Teacher in ICT (PGCE)

·ICT related Degree

Salary Band£30,000 - £38,000
