Corporate & Commercial Paralegal

Luton with occasional travel

What will your role be doing?

Assisting the Head of Corporate & Commercial Legal Services for FirstPort Limited and its subsidiaries.

Assisting in providing clear, commercial and effective legal advice and support to the business when required, with focus on corporate & commercial maters but also assisting with governance & compliance related issues.

Assisting the wider team on an ad hoc basis with property related matters with a focus on preparation of bundles for property litigation matters.

Assisting the Governance & Compliance Manager in drafting and preparation of documents/policies.

Liaison with landlord clients and key suppliers on the preparation of commercial agreements,

What will you be like?


Law degree or graduate diploma in law

Full Driving Licence


Prior experience in-house dealing principally with corporate & commercial related matters

Experience in a wide range of commercial and corporate matters is a pre-requisite for this role.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

Experience in a wide range commercial and corporate related matters.

Good up to date working knowledge of general commercial matters.

Good up to date working knowledge of corporate transactions, governance.

Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, board minutes, sale and purchase agreement, consultancy agreements, general terms and conditions, bespoke frame work agreements, deeds, licences, and other commercially related documents is a must.
