Elicite is an exciting new project aiming to demystify the fine wine and champagne industry through an interactive, media-based e-commerce venture.

Their vision is to become the go-to platform, to guide and navigate you through the world of fine wine and champagne. They will provide fully accessible education to the masses through the use of videos, social media, podcasts, infographic articles and much more.

There is an existing team of 15 with long-standing field knowledge, and they are looking to grow the team size further before their official launch date, June 2018. Initial conception of this project began in March 2016, and they are looking for positive, pro-active and professional people to join their rapidly-expanding new team.

Branching out of the typical fine wine and champagne industry, they have studio offices in South London and have created a vibrant and exciting working culture.

Position: Brand and Events Manager

This is an interesting and varied full-time role, based in London, which will involve:

·Representing our small-scale, high quality agency brands of fine wine and champagne in the UK, profitably and with consummate professionalism.

·Developing and executing on growth and brand-positioning strategies.

·Hitting agreed KPI sales-based targets.

·Generating creative solutions to get maximum leverage from a fixed marketing budget.

·Conceiving, organising and delivering high-end wine events that lead to increased sales – from formal dinners and tutored tastings, to experiential wine events and visits to classic wine regions.

·Ensuring events run smoothly, with top-notch service levels that meet the needs of a demanding, high-income clientele. Making sure clients and guests feel engaged and at their ease, whatever their background or level of fine wine knowledge.

·Working out of an open plan office as part of a rapidly growing, phase two start-up.

About You

You’ll already be working as a fine wine Brand Manager in the UK, with an in-depth knowledge of the fine wine needs of high-end hotels, bars and restaurants as well as independent merchants.

Comfortable with targets and spreadsheets, you’ll have the brand awareness and commercial know-how to turn a growth and positioning strategy into increased sales volumes and margin. You can deliver solutions that are on plan and within budget.

You have organised, or you regularly attend, fine wine events in London, and know instinctively how to make fine wine accessible, interesting and desirable for our affluent private clients.

Performance Objectives

·Work with management, brand owners and marketing agencies to develop individual brand plans for our portfolio of small-scale, high quality champagnes and fine wines.

·Formulate an effective pricing strategy for our agency wines, which are all from prestige appellations.

·Grow sales of agency wines to B2B clients in the UK, including high-end HoReCa sector and independent fine wine merchants.

·Work effectively on plan and within budget.

·Represent our brands with professionalism and enthusiasm.

·Plan, organise and deliver within budget a varied programme of fine wine events that will engage affluent private clients and lead to increased sales.

·Interact professionally and courteously with all stakeholders, including management, brand owners, B2B and B2C clients.

·Work collaboratively and communicate effectively within our rapidly growing team.

·Deliver outstanding customer service levels.

·Juggling different priorities and tasks effectively will be crucial to success.

·Available to work outside traditional office hours when required, for example at wine events scheduled for evenings / weekends.


- Mid-level bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as brand manager in wine & spirit industry.

- Proven ability to generate creative solutions within budget.

- Understanding of premium or luxury consumer products and lifestyles.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

- WSET Level 3 or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge of wine production, classic regions and premium wine styles.

- Experienced working in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Good command of English, written and spoken
