DevOps Engineer – Java/Linux/AWS This new and exciting fintech business with offices in the UK and US is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on its game changing investment due diligence products. The company is growing rapidly and counts some of the world’s largest banks and asset managers as clients. It has ambitious growth plans and is already launching new business lines in the US and Europe. The company is well funded by client revenues but has also received private backing from experienced individuals in the asset management industry. It aims to grow a centre of fintech development excellence in Liverpool to support its global client base and as part of this is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer. The role: As the DevOps Engineer you will be working closely with the internal teams on ongoing projects related to high availability, scalability, security and performance. This is a demanding role, ideally suited to someone looking for an interesting and challenging workload from the outset. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly towards the growth and long-term stability of the business and gives you a chance to work as part of a team of like-minded Technology experts. · Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services or OpenStack · GNU/Linux system administration ninja skills · Strong tendency to automate and monitor everything · Proficiency with configuration management technologies and containers (Ansible, Docker, etc.) · Experience managing highly available databases (Couchbase, InfluxDB, Neo4J) · Knowledge of best practices related to security, high availability, performance and disaster recovery · Knowledge of Java programming language · You can estimate, prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment · Very strong knowledge of cryptography and security best practices For more jobs like this follow @WayForward_ on Twitter
