An urgent contract opportunity for an agile IT Business Analyst to join a growing insurance business have responsibility for both analysis and design on a portfolio of projects, whilst ensuring traceability of outcome through development, testing, training and business readiness elements of the project lifecycle. You should be able to provide both conceptual design and complicated business problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Document business requirements - Gather, analyse and document business requirements of stakeholder groups.
• Document functional specifications - Gather, analyse and document functional specifications with key product managers to meet the business requirements.
• Document non-functional specifications - Gather, analyse and document non-functional specifications to meet the business requirements.
• Coordinate requirements review and approval.
• Assist in formulation of project scope, and planning.
• Assist in developing business area relationships for successful implementation of customer initiatives. Relationships will be across Operational Groups as defined in the Programme.


• Experience in methodologies, namely Agile and/or Waterfall.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in understanding and defining as is' and to be' states of client journeys, operating models, business processes as well as MI & Reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to present technical information in an understandable way for the business, and to translate and represent the business requirements in a manner understandable by developers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with people from a variety of background and disciplines.
• Belief in the importance of developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships at all levels.
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Able to seek out other angles, to think outside the box'.
• Delivery focused
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in business analysis in an environment where compliance requirements must be met. This may be from a financial services background or similar.
• Previous business analysis experience in system rollouts.
• The ability to bridge the gap between the business and technical teams via the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholder communities.
