This hugely successful & highly respected Financial Services / Life Assurance organisation are seeking an experienced Risk Analytics Manager to lead & manage a team of four/five Data, Financial & Actuary experts who provide their Pensions Division & other units across the wider group, with Asset Data Delivery.

The role requires the Risk Analytics Manager to have good knowledge of Asset Data Management, knowledge of a wide range of asset classes ie. Credit Fixed Income, Rates & Interest Rate Fixed Income, ABS, Equities & Property, together with the ability to address & overcome technical and business problems as they arise using good stakeholder management and technical expertise to achieve your goals.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Management of the Asset Data Management team
  • Ensuring processes are within policy & standards, ensuring compliance to associated control & risk frameworks to drive down operational risk for the financial reporting processes
  • Plan and help execute a roadmap of process improvements, improving automation and straight through processing, including EUC/Excel tools to ultimately reduce the length of the various reporting cycles.
  • Actively manage and oversee the monthly asset data load for the EC, investment reporting and Pillar 3, and other relevant work streams by ensuring reliable & accurate asset feeds.
  • Work closely with the other teams in Risk Analytics to supply quality and timely data as input to several processes (EC, SII, ALM, WARF, Liquidity Monitoring etc).
  • Manage stakeholder expectations as and when required.
  • Ensure ongoing reporting of KPIs, Controls and other reports are up to date.
  • Ensure spreadsheets are continuously assessed for appropriateness and standards.
  • Measure and monitor reporting KPI’s, OLA and SLAs, manage the relationships with up and downstream customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the operational risk around processes, people and data. Liaise with internal and external audit, and monitor and remediate audit recommendations where required.
  • Support the change process by scheduling and supporting SME availability and testing resources from the production team.
  • From time to time, own or manage small projects relevant to the delivery of asset data to the business
Skills Required
  • Knowledge of BAU and the necessary attitude towards Live Production systems
  • Strong knowledge across a range of Asset Classes and associated Asset IT systems
  • Previous experience within Life Assurance or Pensions preferred
  • Good people/managerial skills – managing a diverse team of SMEs
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or similar preferred.
