Accounts Senior Opportunity within friendly Blackburn Practice - Competitive salary and benefits package

Your new company
You will be joining a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants who were established in 1996, comprised of a team of 10 individuals with 2 partners. They strive themselves upon their wealth of knowledge and experience, and as a result are able to provide an excellent service to their ever expanding client base. They specialise in providing advice and support services to small and medium-sized businesses. They are seeking an Accounts Senior to sit within their senior team.

Your new role
As an Accounts Senior you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients as well as leading audit assignments from planning to completion on a variety of clients, preparing statutory accounts for limited companies and corporate tax computations, the mentoring and supervising of junior staff, preparation and submission of individual tax returns, company tax returns and VAT returns, management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis on site with key clients as well as dealing with HMRC for any queries or investigations. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in some specialist advisory projects for client base on an ad-hoc basis.

What you'll need to succeed
As well as having previous experience within Practice, you will be an ambitious and motivated individual who is keen to progress forwards with your career in Practice. You will be studying towards your ACA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience and possess excellent customer service skills. You will also be a good user of Excel and experience with using Digita, Sage and/or Xero accounting software's would be desirable. Ideally you will live locally to this Blackburn based job.
