Technical Support Engineer Salary: Up to £20,000 BasicPLUS Car/Car Allowance, OT/TOIL, On-call Phone, Training Laptop + Benefits Package Location: Field Based – West/Central London Comms-care is part of the Ingram Micro Group and is a Market Leading, Award Winning IT service provider. We specialise in Support, Professional & Managed IT Services. In this role you will predominantly service customers in and around West Lonon, travelling UK wide if required. The Role: Hardware Break Fix of network devices including routers, switches & firewalls Installation & removal of various network, desktop & server equipment Servicing customers within SLA Performing project tasks such as site surveys and completion of documentation Pre-staging & configuration of routers and switches Visiting customer sites to fix customer faults within SLA Resolving customer requests such as adds, moves and changes Comms-care benefits: Company Car& fuel card, mobile phone & laptop 28 days’ holiday (including statutory) increasing to 33 over 5 years Paid on-call (1 in 4) and overtime Grading structure & career progression Provision of training and support towards Cisco & Microsoft certifications such as CCNA & MCSE Company Benefits package including: Pension, Health Care, Life Insurance, Childcare vouchers and various discounts Skills/person: Support & installation of Cisco, 3Com, HP or Zyxzel Routers & Switches 1st or 2nd line experience in PC hardware, Microsoft Desktop and/or Server support Flexible to carry out field-based & on-call duties Self-motivated and well organised Committed to skills development and obtaining certification Full Driving Licence and willingness to travel by car on a daily basis Preferably you will have Cisco CCENT/CCNA or equivalent experience and be willing to study and obtain these and more certifications. Candidates will be required to travel to customer sites to achieve contracted service level agreements. Experience in a “hands on” and customer facing role will be advantageous.
