Frontline is continuing to grow and expand its impact. As we embark on this new stage in the organisation’s development we are looking to recruit an exceptional Chief Programmes Officer. This exciting new role will be responsible for overseeing a large division delivering one of the largest social work qualifying programmes in the UK as well as new and innovative approaches to developing social work practice and leadership. You will oversee our fastest growing area of work which is the Fellowship - a movement made up of alumni who have completed various Frontline programmes. The role carries significant responsibilities as well as the opportunity to make a significant difference for some of the most vulnerable children and families in England.

The Chief Programmes Officer (CPO) is the most senior role in the organisation overseeing all of our programmes and alumni (Fellowship) activity. The main responsibility is to ensure that Frontline’s programmes and activity make the greatest possible difference in addressing the organisation’s mission. The successful candidate will work very closely with both the CEO and COO to provide organisational leadership and work as part of a larger senior leadership team. Appointing an outstanding candidate to this role will be critical to Frontline’s future success.

The CPO will lead a division made up of design, delivery, leadership development, Fellowship and programme support teams. The wider division accounts for more than half of all employees and more than two thirds of the organisation’s budget. This is a new role as we are seeking to improve collaboration between areas of our work, increase our scale and make further improvements to programme quality. It is an exciting time to join the charity in this role and there is an opportunity to build upon significant successes that the team have accomplished since we launched five years ago.

We need an outstanding individual to focus on leading the culture of the division, oversee Frontline’s programmes and Fellowship, and manage a wide range of external relationships on behalf of the organisation. We are also seeking an individual who can combine a special mix of experience, knowledge, skills and values.
