This a high profile role which represent an exception opportunity for an experienced security professional to continue their career development and work towards a "Head of" or CISO role in the future. As the successful candidate you will consult with the Senior IT Director regarding day to day security issues in addition to attending board meetings to report the status of information security directly to the Board Directors. You will be charged with taking inventory of critical assets, evaluating risks and working with the appropriate teams to mitigate those risks. A selection of key duties will be to Function as the champion of information security to ensure all proper audits, assessments and training are being completed, manage and improve risk assessment process, Create security policies (application development and operational security). Conduct internal application and manage network penetration testing. Manage metrics and monitoring as it pertains to security and conduct security training for internal users and develop instruction guidelines for members. A key first year deliverable will be laying the ground work to establish a sustainable and effective security practice from both a strategic and tactical perspective.

As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate strong previous experience within Information Security with a successful track record in mitigating and preventing security breaches.. a history of owning components of risk assessments, familiarity with formulating or maintaining security policies and processes, experience conducting security audits and managing penetration tests. A Working knowledge of a broad set of security tools and technology (firewalls, scanning tools, etc.). You will need strong presentation skills and the ability to influence senior management and non- technical stakeholders with both oral and written presentations.
